How To Change Auto Ignition Switch Light?

Before starting, you should disconnect your battery. To change the warning light bulb you will need to gain access to the rear of the dash panel also known as the instrument cluster. On newer cars the bulb is often located in the instrument cluster and connected to the wiring with a multi-plug connector. Remove the instrument cluster safely by removing all the screws. Remove the wiring socket. At the rear of the instrument cluster, you would find the fused bulb in its holder. Remove the bulb from the holder by gently twisting it. Fit the new bulb in the holder and twist the holder back into the instrument cluster. When fitting a bulb to the cluster unit, make sure it has good contact with the metal strips in the printed circuit. Reverse the process as removed. Check for any fault memory in the system using the OBD device.
