Fantastic Struts for a Fair Price!
MarcoÉvalué à GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON le February 4, 2024
I fitted a set of Monroe Sensa-Trac 72114/72115 struts on a buddy's 2006 Toyota Corolla, and the difference in ride and handling was night and day compared to the old rear struts. He's kicking himself now for not jumping on Monroe's 'Buy Four get ONE Free' Shock-tober rebate. With their Limited Lifetime Warranties, these Sensa-Trac struts are a no-brainer if you're keeping your car for the long haul—you'll just pay for labor on replacements down the road. Just don't forget to keep your receipt!

Value-for-money, quality struts for the 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla.
NickyÉvalué à REVELSTOKE, BC le February 3, 2024
These are a solid match for a 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla, just a tad firmer than the original KYB ones, but way less stiff than the Sensen ones that let me down (steer clear of those). They're holding up great, seem well-made, and for the price, they're a win assuming they last. They come with a sturdy 2.2 cm top nut and an extra plastic cover on top that's not shown in the Parts Avatar photos. Grab the Monroe 72114 and 72115 struts together. If it's your first strut rodeo, get the OEM bellows/insulators from Toyota and the Monroe 906936 lower insulators.

Holding up strong and smooth

It's been a year and 3 months since I installed the 'Monroe 72114 Sensa-Trac Strut' and 'Monroe 72115 Sensa-Trac Strut' on my 2004 Toyota Corolla. They've taken flying leaps over hills, shrugged off speed bumps at full tilt, and drifted around uneven cobblestone corners without a hitch, and they're still pressurized. They might not be as stiff as day one, but for the punishment they endure, they're doing remarkably well. They're not racing gear, but as an affordable OE replacement, they're a cut above the original struts. Very happy with them.

Solid Choice, Firmer Ride

The Monroe Strut gave my 2003 Toyota Corolla a stiffer ride than I first expected. But now, after 2 years and an extra 16,000 kilometers, the ride is still firmer than the original but feels nicer. My 335,000-kilometer-old Corolla is a blast to drive now, especially after a full front-end overhaul. I'd pick it over our 2011 Elantra any day.

Perfect replacement but watch out for rust.
Emma KÉvalué à MAYERTHORPE, AB le January 16, 2024
Snagged a front set of these for my 2003 Corolla after one of the original struts started leaking oil and making a racket. They slotted in perfectly, and I reused the bottom rubber gasket under the spring. The top boot was torn up, but the top gasket was still decent, so I reused that one too. Once back on the road, the ride quality improved big time—firmer, smoother, just felt right. And that annoying clunking noise? Gone! Just a heads-up: Toyota's got this roughly 30 cm long end-link with swivel ends that connects the strut to the sway bar. You're meant to use an allen wrench on the screw while you take off the nut. Mine was totally rusted, so no go. But, I had a lightbulb moment and just cut the bolt off with my angle grinder to free the bar. Then I picked up a new end-link online for about 17 CAD.
