• Employ the DVOM to test controller power supply fuses and relays. Test and restore blown fuses as obligated. It should be noted that the fuses should be tested with the circuit loaded. If all fuses and relays appear to be functioning in order, a visual investigation of controller related wiring and harnesses should be performed
• It is suggested to the check chassis and engine ground junctions. Use your vehicle information source to extract the ground locations for related circuits. The DVOM should be used to test ground integrity
• Finally, visually investigate the system controllers for any traces of water, heat, or collision damage. Any controller that is defected particularly by water should be considered deficient. If controller power and ground circuits are intact, a damaged controller or a controller programming error should be suspected
