It features a special winter compound that molds into a directional pattern with a wide center rib to increase contact with the road, ice, and hard-pack snow. It consists of absorptive balloons that help remove the layer of moisture that forms on top of the ice and improves grip on the surface. Its three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol on the sidewall guarantees reliable traction on snow. With Zigzag circumferential grooves, iceGUARD iG53 helps evacuate water quickly and resist hydroplaning. iceGUARD iG53’s twin steel belts on top of a two-ply polyester cord that improves durability and ride comfort.
