HEADS UP: Wrong description for Timken 223420

Attention, Parts Avatar's got it mixed up again. The Timken 223420 is a Camshaft Seal, NOT a Crankshaft Seal. I accidentally got just one for a twin-cam engine... and nabbed two Timken 710355 crankshaft seals. Scored these for about 7 CAD each without shipping fees - pretty good to steer clear of the Mazda OEM or Ishino seal price hike. The seal quality seems good, slips in easily with a bit of lube. The inner diameter has these flexible lips. Box doesn't say where it's from, though (the 710355 crankshaft seal came from Taiwan). Didn't bother paying double for the Japanese Ishino or Mazda OEM seal. Only got a few hundred kilometers on my '97 NA, but so far, no drips or drops.
Oui, Je recommande ce produit.
They fit and are high-quality seals

I replaced the camshaft seals on a 1994 Miata while doing the timing belt and water pump. They fit well and seem to be of fine quality. To install them, just use a 3.175 cm PVC coupler from your local hardware store and a mallet to tap them in after oiling them lightly.
Oui, Je recommande ce produit.
INCORRECT DESCRIPTION: Timken 223420 is a Camshaft Seal, NOT a Crankshaft Seal.

Heads up, the product description from Parts Avatar is wrong again. The Timken 223420 is a Camshaft Seal, NOT a Crankshaft Seal. By mistake, I ordered only one of these for a twin-cam engine and got two Timken 710355 crankshaft seals. I snagged these for about 7 CAD each with free shipping, which is a good deal to dodge the markup on Mazda OEM or Ishino seals. The seal itself is a quality replacement, slips in easily with a bit of lube. The inner diameter has flexible lips, but no clue where it's made since it's not on the box. (The 710355 crankshaft seal is from Taiwan.) I didn't bother paying double for the Japanese-made Ishino or Mazda OEM seal. Only a few hundred kilometers on my '97 NA so far, but it's leak-free.
Oui, Je recommande ce produit.

I put these camshaft seals into my 1994 Miata while doing the timing belt and water pump. They fit well and seem to be good quality. Pro tip: a 3.175 cm PVC coupler and a mallet will help you seat them after a light oil coat.
Oui, Je recommande ce produit.
