Spectra premium electric fuel pump is a lower pressure pump that works in tandem with older models from the 1950s to the 1980s. It is mounted within the fuel tank and delivers fuel through the fuel lines and fuel filter to the engine. Even today, except for gasoline direct injection pumps, modern fuel pumps and fuel pump assemblies are located in the tank and utilise the fuel in the fuel tank to prevent overheating.
