They are engineered to offer excellent compressibility and high-temperature endurance without becoming brittle or brinelling aluminum cylinder heads. Their 5-layer composite construction sandwiches their patented Grafoil core material between two steel plates for strength, and a special elastomer coating is applied to both sides for leak-proof sealing protection. They are corrosion-resistant and compatible with all types of fuel.
