I've got a 2004 Grand Cherokee with the up-country suspension and about a 4.5 cm budget boost. This setup's been fantastic for the last 128,000 kilometers, especially over the rocky terrain in Alberta. It absorbs the bumps like nothing else I've experienced. None of my factory shocks were leaking, but I was starting to notice more body roll when cornering. These shocks were tuned specifically for Grand Cherokees with Up-Country Suspension, so I went for it. I'm handy and have a good set of tools; installation of all four took about 2 hours without any hiccups, even though there were no directions included. They look great too. Today, I really put them to the test with the family on a rugged trip that proved their off-road tune is on point—plush as ever. On paved switchbacks, the improvement in cornering was massive. Mission accomplished indeed!

I've got a 2000 WJ with the original 'Up Country' lift from the factory. It still had the original shocks after 229,667 kilometers and 16 years, and I didn't realize how bad they were until they started making noise. These new shocks are a game-changer, seriously improving my ride quality. It's like my old Jeep is a Cadillac now, much more stable. Quick tip: these shocks come with an extra rubber grommet. Stick one on top of the wheel well and the other below, so the car's body gets a nice rubber sandwich. There weren't any install or torque specs included, so I gave MONROE a ring for advice. On another note, Parts Avatar sent the shocks separately which was a bit of a head-scratcher since you install them in pairs. Would make more sense (and save some cash) to ship them together. But once they arrived, it was all good.

Installed these on a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo with around 160,000 kilometers on the OE shocks. The improvement in ride and handling is remarkable. Didn't realize how worn the old shocks were until the new ones made the SUV feel brand new. Heads up though, you'll need new hardware for the rear shocks, M12X70MM bolts, and a few M12 washers. Seems like all aftermarket shocks need extra hardware, so grab it beforehand. I had to install them twice due to some terrible rattles, which turned out to be a common issue solved by new bolts and washers. Even top-shelf shocks like Bilstein and Koni need the extra bits.

These shocks are perfect for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The ride's comfy, handles like a sports car, and the shocks have a solid feel. Would've been a full five stars, but Parts Avatar sent me one wrong shock for the front. Instead of a replacement, I could only get a refund, so I had to grab the right one from a local auto parts store.

A heads-up: you'll need new hardware for the rear shocks, specifically M12X70MM bolts and a few M12 washers. It seems all aftermarket shocks need some extra hardware, so grab it in advance. I had some serious rattles post-installation, which a quick online search told me was common without new bolts and washers. So, I ended up doing the job twice. Even high-end shocks like Bilstein and Koni aren't exempt from this requirement.
