I'm convinced Hitachi nails it with quality that's spot-on with the oirginal. Dropped around $42 CAD (was $94 CAD) for a 'gently used' mass airflow sensor. Tried to clean the old one but no dice, the warning light wouldn't quit. Slapped in this new sensor, cleared the code, and it's been smooth sailing for two months. Paying a bit more for quality stuff really paid off.

It's been going strong for 1 1/2 years on my Infiniti FX35. After the check engine light came on, Auto Zone's diagnostic pointed to the Air Handler. These replacements have been flawless. The light lingered for a couple of days after the fix, but all's good now.

Bought it for my 370z, which had a Hitachi MAF sensor before. This one doesn't look quite like the original, but brought my car back to life after installation. I tried other cheaper options, but they didn't work, and one even caused my car to go into limp mode and store a permanent code. But after installing this one, my car started normally, and after driving 90 kilometers the IM light turned back to green. Remember, after changing the MAF sensor on some cars, you might need to perform a factory idle and drive cycle to erase some errors. If you have a permanent code, you'll need to drive about 320 kilometers and have 15 warm-ups for it to clear automatically. Don't go for smog check with a permanent code, even if the scanner shows green for the I/M test; it'll fail.
