      HELLA Long Life H3 lasts longer but dims in comparison to others

      My Toyota 4Runner sports an ARB Bull Bar bumper with a full light setup, and I was fed up with standard Hella H3 bulbs fizzling out so quickly (1 year tops). So I switched to the HELLA H83135051 12V 55W H3 replacement bulbs, hoping for better longevity. Swapping out the right-hand light is a 30-minute task, accessed through the engine bay, but the left is a pain due to the battery blocking the way, taking me 2 hours to change. Last time, the regular bulb only lasted 3 months even after I cleaned it with alcohol—talk about frustrating quality control issues! On the upside, the Long Life bulb on the left is still going strong, but there's a catch: it doesn't seem to irritate oncoming traffic anymore, which made me realize the light output has dropped significantly. It's now emitting a weak, sickly yellow, unlike the bright white of the regular bulb on the right. Given the serious deer situation on the roads here in Saskatchewan, I need powerful lighting to see well ahead. Sadly, the left light now barely illuminates the road at all, which is safer for other drivers but not great for me and the deer. I've got 4 of these Long Life bulbs to burn through on the left side, but then I'm on the hunt for a high-output H3 Long Life bulb. If anyone has recommendations, I'm all ears!

                      These weren't the cheapest, but they're the most durable lamps I've used for my CNC machine tool lamps. They save me time on replacements. The light isn't as bright, but it's good enough.
