I'm into the look of it. But, man, getting it all together was a task and a half. Trying to squeeze tools into the right spots when bolting it was a hassle. Definitely a two-person job, this one.

Looks fantastic on my Ram. Yeah, they could label the left and right sides, but it's not hard to figure out. Got the lights and the motorized bar, and the motor stopped working after about six months. Should be covered by warranty. Gives my Ram a great rugged look.

I bought this 'used' from Parts Avatar, but the box was almost destroyed and taped back together, and all the hardware was missing! It was annoying to have to get the hardware from a local store, which cost me as much as I saved by buying used. Not worth the hassle! The bar itself is tricky to assemble but sturdy once done. It would've been a great experience had it come with all the parts. My advice? Buy new to save yourself the trouble!

Installation can be a challenge

I'd give it a full five stars, but installing with the rivet nuts was a real headache. It's a very awkward way to insert rivet nuts, especially on a Ford F-150 with a boxed-in bed. The instructional video made it look easy, but it wasn't. I managed to properly expand only three rivet nuts before the tool gave out. For the fourth, I had to use a nut with washers. Luckily, we could reach the bolt from inside the bed. It took much longer to install than the video suggested, and you definitely need two people. But once installed, it looks fantastic.

It looks sharp once installed and adjusted, but it was probably one of the most challenging auto projects I've tackled, and that's after rebuilding a couple of classic cars. I watched several YouTube videos, and the official one made it seem easy, but nope. You're basically handling various loose parts along with spacers between them while you assemble, adjust, and tighten. The metal is quite thin, so I wouldn't trust it with heavy loads. But again, it looks great, and I suppose that's what you're paying for.

The rivets don't hold up on the thin metal in my truck bed, they just pop out. But overall, it's a badass addition.
