      • Chrome Timing Cover; Chevy Small Block; w/Welded Reinforcement Plate; Stamped Steel;
      • This stamped steel timing over for small-block Chevrolet has a reinforced plate welded to the inside of the cover for added strength. This timing cover is ideal for preventing camshaft walk when used with a thrust button. Includes front crankshaft seal and features a bright chrome finish.

      This timing cover looks good and makes cam changes easier. However, after about a year, there are two issues: the hardware rusts quickly, so you mgiht want to use stainless steel, and it leaks a bit at the oil pan, possibly due to the mating surface not being thick enough for the gasket to seal properly.

          Overall, the quality is good. It fits as it should, and the chrome plating looks really nice. The only downside was some welding spatter from when the reinforcement was added. I caught it during inspection and cleaned it up, no harm done.

              It fits over a double roller chain, and I managed to use a short water pump without spacers. The chrome finish is high quality. Made in Taiwan.

                      The timing cover has a nice appearance but it's missing a timing pointer and tends to leak at the oil pan when used with a Fel-Pro gasket.
