Brake Lines That Require Patience
Stephane RÉvalué à RANKIN INLET, NU le May 9, 2024
These brake lines did the trick for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler, but they were a headache to work with. The longest one is a massive U-shape that you have to finagle into place without kinking. The fittings at the prop valve are a pain—they're not brass, so they don't fit as nicely and took a few tries to get right. All said, it's a decent product, but you might be better off getting a flaring tool and flex lines. The only reason I'm not rating this lower is that the quality is decent overall.

Stainless Steel vs. Aluminum: A bit of a hassle
C PIN YENÉvalué à SAINTE-JULIENNE, QC le April 16, 2024

These brake lines are pretty well-made overall. The trickiest part was the front passenger line. Pro tip: remove your front bumper and drop your steering gearbox to make life easier. I hit two snags: the flare sealing surfaces were a bit rough, so I'd recommend giving them a polish before you fit them. Also, stainless steel is tough, which is great on steel calipers and wheel cylinders, but it's a pain when connecting to softer aluminum parts like the proportioning valve and master cylinder. It took me hours to get a leak-free fit on these aluminum connections, and one of the small lines was faulty, so I had to craft a new one. My two cents? Stick with regular steel lines and give them a coat of paint to fend off rust. Stainless steel might just be more trouble than it's worth.

Installation wasn't too tricky, and it looks fantastic once done.

Installing it wasn't a huge hassle - just had to unhook the sway bar from the frame and use a bungee cord to hold it up while I got the right front brake line in place. All in all, smooth sailing.

Solid kit that delivers
MohanÉvalué à IQALUIT, NU le January 29, 2024
This kit is fantastic and works a treat. I'm no pro, but I managed the install solo. Fair warning, there was a bit of swearing and a couple of beers needed during the process. As others have mentioned, the passenger front side is a bit of a challenge. Got it done on my 2002 TJ though.

Had to do a bit of extra bending to make these fit properly. Definitely grab an extra pair of hands if you're planning to install these.
