The Actuator or Blend Door Actuator is a small electric motor in your vehicle that runs in forward and reverse motion to move the Blend Door/ Air Mix Door between fresh air and re-circulation modes, hot and cold airflow, and floor/defrost modes.

My AC wasn't cooling properly even though the pressure was good. Not hearing a change in fan noise when hitting recirculate was a giveaway, and the BCM code confirmed it. Be prepared, this repair takes effort. On my 2004 Avalanche, I had to remove the top of the dash, then the passenger airbag, and so on.
