      I managed the installation myself. If it wasn't for the dash location, it'd take just 15 minutes! The actual time depends on how flexible you are. Smart move to replace both parts, now my blower is in top form.

          This was the perfect fix for our family's '17 Expedition, which had a blower that only worked now and then. The wiring was getting too hot and starting to melt, same with the resistor. Since we put this part in, the blower's been working like it's brand new!

              On my second go-round with these parts for my 2015 Expedition. The harness keeps frying, so I wanted to save some cash after the first OEM replacement. These work just like the dealer's parts, but the plug needed a bit more oomph to click into place. A heads-up: if you don't get the recall handled, you might be replacing these parts more than once. Dorman did a solid job, but I'd be even happier if the clip was easier to lock in.

                      This resistor was just what my 2010 F-150 Platinum needed to kick the blower back into gear. Installation was a piece of cake: drop the glove box, unscrew a couple of screws, and pop the new one in. Nice to have the pigtail included for future use, even though I didn't need it this time.

                          The Blower Resistor replacement kit fit my 2012 Ford Expedition really well. The wires in the wiring harness were thicker than those in the original parts, but they weren't long enough to replace the full length of wire. This was a good deal compared to local auto parts stores, although it was pricier than other options at Parts Avatar. I chose to pay extra for the brand name and the harness, and it was the right choice.

                              The other day my AC just wouldn't kick on. Turned out to be the resistor. Swapped in the new harness that came with the resistor and voila, AC's working again. Saved me a stack of cash by not going to a shop for parts, labor, and diagnostics. It's an easy swap, and there's plenty of YouTube guides to show you how it's done.

                                  I own a 2014 Ford Flex. Don't make the mistake I made by going for the cheaper options on Parts Avatar, unless you enjoy doing the job multiple times. Dorman includes the wiring harness for good reason – it's likely what caused your resistor to fail in the first place. I didn't change the wiring harness initially, and the resistor failed in 3 weeks. Now, I'm on my second resistor but with the harness replaced. The included yellow wire connectors are too large for one of the wires, so you might need a smaller wire nut or to solder it. It's a tight space to work in, but I managed, and I'm not exactly small. There are several YouTube videos out there that show you how to do the job. Watch a few, and you'll figure it out.
