I make it a habit to replace the oil drain plugs every few oil changes to avoid leaks. This plug was a perfect match for my 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. The original was black and this one's silver, but that's the only difference. Given its affordability, I highly suggest replacing it periodically. If you go to a shop for oil changes, grab one of these and ask them to swap it out.
