You should then clean your new mirror glass with some warm water and a soft cloth. Make sure that you do not use chemical cleaners on your replacement mirror glass as they will leave residue on it and impede the effectiveness of your adhesive. You should then air dry your mirror before you start proceeding.

After that you should cut your silicon adhesive into 3/8 inches. The adhesive pieces should then be placed behind your mirror glass, but keep in mind that it should be not too close to its edges. It would ensure that no silicone will seep out once the glass has been pressed in place.

Position the replacement glass into the housing and then press it firmly into place.
