Park the car on a flat surface and make sure that the engine has cooled down to avoid burns from hot grille. Unbolt the existing brush guard, if there is any. If you are installing the brush guard for the first time, look for two factory tow hooks beneath the front bumper of the car and unbolt them using a ratchet.

Step 2

Lift the guard onto the centre on the car bumper and hold it in place to mark the bumper to bumper cover. Also trace along the outside of the brackets. Using a die grinder, cut off the marked plastic away and test fit the guard again and again to ensure proper fit. Keep trimming until the brush bar mounts sit properly on the frame.

Step 3

Mark the position holes for the bolts and drill out the bolt holes as required. Slide a washer and guard into each hole and slide another washer into place to install the nuts.

Step 4

After removing the bolts, the low part of the brush guard is placed on the grille and is secured using bolts and nuts included in the brush guard kit. You can screw the bolts in place using your hands and tighten them using a wrench.

Step 5

With the help of a helper, hold the brush guard onto the grille mounting bracket. If you need to install additional bolt to install the guard in place, you may use a drill. After installing the bolts, check for the guard alignment with the grille. You may use a rubber mallet to push the guard into its place.
