I technically didn't buy these Bosch 9616 spark plugs. I found them in the glove box of a used car I bought, which was a nice bonus. After replacing the old, worn-out spark plugs, the car runs a bit better. Bosch recommends not gapping these plugs, although others suggest doing so. I chose not to gap them, but I did check one and it was gapped to 0.044, just like the spec said. The others looked evenly gapped too. These plugs have a special coating on them, so no need for anti-seize or graphite lube.

BOSCH 9616 Spark Plug Performance

After hitting 60,000 KM, I had to replace my vehicle's factory-installed spark plugs. I chose the BOSCH 9616 because of the high ratings and recommendations here, only to find they're made in CHINA, not GERMANY as one Q&A suggested. Once installed, they offer good fuel efficiency and acceleration when overtaking on the highway. The performance difference compared to the original Japanese-made ones is minimal.

My 2014 Chevy Sonic LT had some rough idles and even stalls, but after replacing the cracked intake hose with this one, there's been a noticeable improvement. I was initially hesitant about online purchases, but this was affordable and totally worth it. To fully resolve my engine light and other issues, I also changed my spark plugs and the valve cover. The car runs so smoothly now. I'll keep you posted if anything changes. The part is top-notch, and shipping was quick!

A bit pricier compared to the NGK Laser, but it's a good product. When your engine air filter is dirty, it's obvious your spark plugs will be black and charred! After changing, there's a noticeable difference in fuel economy.
