Turns out this 'workship brand' or something Bosch filter is boldly made in China with barely any markings. The box is the real Bosch deal, and it came with sealing washers. It's probably alright, but I'm slightly ticked off. Could've gotten a cheaper one if I didn't care about manufacturing origins or quality. Not saying our buddies in China can't make top-notch stuff—they can. It's just that they'll also make whatever quality you're willing to pay for, and I don't trust manufacturers one bit.

Seems like the 'workshop brand' might be different from the standard Bosch filter. This one's clearly made in China with hardly any markings on the filter itself, though it's in the usual Bosch box. They did include sealing washers. It's likely okay but still slightly irritating. Could've gotten cheaper options if I wasn’t particular about the manufacturing origin. Not to say our friends in China can't make top-quality products—they absolutely can—but they’ll also produce any quality you're willing to pay for, and I'm generally skeptical of manufacturers, no matter who they are.

It works well. No matter the brand, installation can be a bit of a hassle. Make sure to check for any leaks at the thread points and tighten them again if you spot any.
