P269C error is a general type of powertrain control module issue and is known as exhaust aftertreatment glow plug control performance. The DEF helps to convert the remaining exhaust particles into gases that are harmless. The temperature of the exhaust system has to be increased in order to burn off these exhaust particles. The DPF is brought to the expected temperature when the DEF is injected into the exhaust stream which then converts the dangerous NOx into nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water.
