The position of internal component of hybrid motor is found by hybrid control module by using sensors. If any fault is found in the position sensor by high voltage system, ECM module will store the P0A47 error code.

The resolver which functions as sensor finds the location of magnetic poles of the rotor of motor generator. It is very crucial to find the exact location of poles to get accurate control of MG1 and MG2. Two detection coil (S, C) and an excitation coil is available in the stater of each resolver.
