In order to begin with the diagnosis, check the transmission fluid level and also the transmission fluid level sensor and all the related wirings. There will be an open circuit between the PCM and the sensor if you happen to come across the out of limit reading.
• Check the Sensor - In case everything is fine then it the sensor that is faulty. So, checking it is next on our list. Turn off the ignition and set your multimeter to read ohms. Lastly, remove the transmission fluid level sensor connector and connect the meter to the sensor terminals. The sensor will be open internally of the meter reads out of limits (0L), you should definitely replace it in this case.
