The fault code P0221 can be described as Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit. This code would mean that the resistance or the voltage in the circuitry of the throttle position sensor has fallen out the acceptable range which has been specified by the manufacturer.

The electronic throttle control actuator comprises of throttle control motor, throttle position sensors etc. The throttle position sensor would respond to the throttle valve movement. There are two sensors in the throttle position sensor.
