What is TPMS Sensors
Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensors, also called TPMS sensors, are fit snugly in position on the inner surface of the wheel, inside of your tire. A valve stem is attached to that sensor and pushes outsides of the tire as a way of applying air. An installed pressure detector detects for tire inflation all the time when the car’s ignition is turned on. This pressure detector has a battery of its own, in which the transmitter relays the data to the car’s primary computer. Car control systems scans the data entry from all four tires, and will send an alert to the driver by creating a warning light if the pressure in any of these wheels drops 25% or more under a level pre-determined. The tactic is to send an early warning to the driver if any of the tires are low on-air pressure, so this process can be corrected. PartsAvatar discusses the advantages of building new TPMS sensors whenever a customer buys new tires, even more important, why we strongly advise to purchase new sensors when buying wheel and tire sets from our online store.
About TPMS Sensors
PartsAvatar has in stock all high quality TPMS sensors you will easily find at our online and onsite auto shops all over Canada: Crown TPMS sensor, omix-ada TPMS sensor, Denso TPMS sensor, acdelcogm original equipment tire pressure sensor, motorcraft TPMS sensor, dorman multi-fit TPMS programmer tool, standard intermotor TPMS valve kit, dorman TPMS valve stem kit, standard TPMS sensor service kit, crown TPMS valve stem hardware kit and motorcraft TPMS sensor mounting band.We advise you buy new TPMS sensors when restoring tires after your vehicle’s new car warranty has been expired. New car warranties are most notably a cover replacement of the sensors if they fail during the warranty period. Average values chosen are typically 12,000 miles/year of driving, and tires will last 60,000 miles, thus average drivers will restore the first set of tires approximately after five years. When replacing the tires, you will have to spend money on having them mounted and balanced. Dismount the told tire, sliding the old TPMS sensor out with no effort and inserting a brand new sensor in. In addition, the new TPMS sensor is supplied as a newly fitted tire valve stem. Metal stems are stronger than traditional rubber stems fitted on non-TPMS vehicles, but they can still wear away. Stem pieces can be replaced individually, but you are still dealing with the same price of a tire dismount and remount. Whether you are buying your replacement tires from PartsAvatar or from our dealership that can install them, buying replacement TPMS sensors from us,which you already hold in your hand when coming in to see us, will save you from paying too much money on the mark-up an professional would charge for supplying these exact same parts.
