Returns Process

  • 30 day timeline to return the parts starting from the delivery date.

  • RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number is required, Any returns made without a RMA number will be disregarded.

  • Parts must be in their original manufacturer packaging to qualify for a reimbursement.

  • Parts cannot be returned if installation has been attempted or damaged by any means.

  • Prepaid return shipping labels can only be provided if product is Damaged on Arrival, Defective or Website error. Images of shipment box and parts can be requested.

  • Conditions of the returned apparel must be in their original, unworn, and unused condition, with all tags and labels attached. They must be free from odors, stains, or any other signs of wear.

  • For apparel, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or color, please return the original item and place a new order on our website.

Fees and Charges

  • A 15% restocking fee will be charged upon all product returns which are not the result of our mistake.

  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days in their original mode of payment.

  • We do not reimburse for labor cost, service charges, return shipping costs or any other expenses incurred to the consumer.

Refunds

For almost 98% of the returns we receive, once the merchandise is received your refund would be issued within 10 business days. However, sometimes we need to talk to the manufacturer or to the customer to solve some complicated cases and therefore the refund takes a bit longer than normal ((around 20 days)).
Returns are processed once we have received the item. In the event that you have changed your mind, simply keep the part. No further action is required.
For all orders where the reason for the return is not the result of an error on our part, shipping back the product will be customer’s responsibility and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. PartsAvatar does not reimburse the return shipping cost but only provides a prepaid return shipping label after the case analysis is completed and it turns out to be an error on our part. Also, if you refuse the delivery of the package or the carrier returns a package as a result of an invalid address, the total cost of shipping for both sides of transportation (for delivery and for back-return) will be deducted from your refund.

The money will be refunded to the original payment method within 2-7 business days for cancelled orders.  For returned products, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days in their original mode of payment. This may however take longer due to unforeseen circumstances during COVID.

When we send a refund, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please contact us immediately by chat or by email at customerservice@partsavatar.ca if you haven’t received your confirmation email. If you have not received the refund after receiving our email, please contact your bank for any issues. Sometimes financial organizations take a longer time to process the refund request. We can definitely help you with any follow up details requested by your bank.

Cancellations

Normally there is very limited time to cancel the order because the order is forwarded to the warehouse immediately after the order confirmation process is complete. To check whether an order can be cancelled or not you will have to log into your account. In “My Account” section if the order you wish to cancel is showing a button “Cancel Order” only then you can cancel it. However if the processing of the order has already started, it cannot be cancelled. However, you can initiate a return, with the unopened package, once you receive the package.

Once you click the “cancel order” button, your order will be cancelled immediately.
Refunds are normally done in the same mode as the payment, i.e. PayPal or credit card.

Returns

All new/unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Electronic components such as lights, bulbs, ignition parts, relays, sensors and switches will not receive a refund if the packaging has been opened or installation has been attempted. Parts must be in their original manufacturer packaging to qualify for a reimbursement.

Individual parts of the KIT cannot be returned separately. All Kits must be returned with every part that is included.

If you have received a mail from us confirming your refund request then rest assured that we have initiated your refund request and are following up with financial organizations for the same. Sometimes financial organizations take a longer time to process the refund request. However, if the refund hasn't happened by the date we promised, you can contact us. We will gladly help you.

Core

What is a core?
When a vehicle is repaired, the old part that was replaced is called a core.

What are cores used for?
Companies rebuild or recycle the used parts by completely dismantling, thoroughly cleaning the cores and replacing the faulty and/or worn elements. Cores are tested in the same manner and to the same standard as the original equipment. This process essentially restores the used or broken parts to their original function.

Why do we recycle cores?
Many parts are recycled or re-manufactured as they have the potential to save the end user hundreds of dollars. A typical gasoline fuel injector can cost $150-$300 or more easily. Meanwhile, a remanufactured fuel injector can cost only $49-$200, offering the customer huge savings.

Why should I return cores?
Returning cores allows for old parts to be re-manufactured and recycled. This helps save our environment by keeping approximately 54,000 tons of cores out of landfills annually! It also adds money back into your pocket.

In the auto parts industry, there are parts that can be recycled or re-manufactured and there are many parts which falls under this category. The customer must pay a core deposit at the time of purchase for specific items. After receiving their new part, the buyer send back their old part in the original manufacturer’s box of the purchased part. Once the core is returned to the us in its complete form and has been inspected to ensure it is rebuild-able and resellable, the core deposit taken initially is fully refunded to the customer.

A core can be returned within 90 days of the original part delivery.

To receive a credit, a returned core must be complete and in it’s original unmarked manufacturer’s packaging of the purchased part. PartsAvatar is not responsible for any shipping costs or other expenses associated with returning the core.

How do I Return an Item?

Steps to Return an Order

If you are registered with PartsAvatar, follow the below-given steps of the return process:

  1. Go to “My Account”


  2. Log into your account by entering your email address and password.

     

  3. Under the orders tab select and open the order you wish the return.


  4. Click on the drop-down that shows “Take Actions” as default and select “Return Order”.


  5. A new page will open where you will have to select the item(s) you want to return, return quantity, the reason for return, and write your comments. After filling these Click “Continue”.


  6. It will take you to a new page that will confirm that your return order request has been received by us. Click “Next”.


  7. Click “Print RMA receipt” to get the print of the Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) receipt.


  8. Pack the part in the original manufacturer's box and then pack it in a shipping box. Refunds will be automatically denied if the Manufacturer's box has any writing on it, any type of markings, extra tape, or broken boxes. All returns must be in re-sellable condition. No exceptions will be made.


  9. Make sure you remove the old shipping labels from the box and attach the RMA receipt with it. (Please note that no refunds will be made without the RMA receipt).


  10. Ship it to the address mentioned in the RMA receipt through a local mailing store. Drop-off is also available at the location mentioned in the RMA receipt. Please confirm the timings with one of our customer service agents through chat.
