It's Working... For Now
A SehraReviewed in PRINCETON, BC on August 6, 2024
Installed it two days ago and it's running smoothly. Quick to start, but the plastic snap-lock piece was a bit flimsy and detached from the metal connector easily. I managed to fix it without breaking, though the metal was soft. The old starter had a sturdier metal connector. I've got it working now, but I'm not holding my breath on its longevity. Will update if anything changes.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Did the job for me

A couple of mechanics warned me while I was price-hunting for installation that this part might be a no-go for my car. They reckoned I might need to spring for a genuine Toyota part instead. But, Parts Avatar nailed it, and it's been all systems go. I've noticed a bit of a different sound at high speeds, but it fires up on the first try and hasn't given me a single starter problem.
Yes, I recommend this product.
If you need a fast and affordable fix, this starter is it

Got this for my brother's Toyota Matrix, and it's working great - starts the car up faster than the old starter! You can't go wrong with this quality Starter. For a quick and cheap fix, I'd definitely recommend it.

This starter is the real deal.

I was dealing with some frustrating intermittent start issues with my 2004 Pontiac Vibe—it was a pain to start when the engine was warm. After ruling out starter relays, ignition switch, and fuses, I swapped in this starter. Turns out, the original copper supply cable was completely corroded. With this new starter in, my car fires up without a hitch. Solid stuff.

Fabulous aftermarket replacement for my '03 Toyota Matrix. Haven't had a single performance issue. Just make sure to check how the bolts line up when installing—there's a bit of a trick to it to avoid hassle.

It worked great after getting two bad alternators from the local Auto Parts store. Ordered this one on a Friday, arrived by Sunday, installed it, and it worked great. My wife was able to drive to work on Monday with no issues...

Replaced the starter on my 2004 Toyota Corolla with mixed feelings

The part made it here early, which was a nice surprise. It took the place of the oirginal starter in my 2004 Toyota Corolla LE and worked without a hitch. Can't say for sure if it will go the distance, but for now, it's all good. Just a heads-up though, this replacement is a tad larger than the original, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze getting it installed. If this thing conks out too soon, I'll be sure to update you all. **Update August 2019** So, my ride began to have issues again. Bought this starter in 2017, so it was around 2 to 3 years old. Didn't expect trouble so soon, figured it might be the battery or alternator, but they seem fine and the ignition switch isn't showing signs of trouble either. Looks like this starter is already tapping out. I'm on the hunt for an OEM part on the resale market now, hoping it'll last as long as my car keeps running.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Cost-Effective Starter Swap
GallantReviewed in ALMONTE, ON on June 25, 2024
Looks like I've found a decent, budget-friendly starter replacement. Installed it on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT without too much trouble, even tohugh it's a tad longer than the original Toyota starter. It's a straightforward swap if you follow an online tutorial. Getting the old starter out was a bit of a hassle, but nothing a good hammering couldn't fix. It seems to take an extra second to kick in, which had me worried, but it's running smoothly for now. I'll keep you posted on its reliability. But hey, for the price, it's a great deal and I'd say go for it.
Yes, I recommend this product.
