switch, then the PCM should be disconnected and cruise control module
connectors and perform a continuity test on the circuitry between the switches

step would be to compare your findings to manufacturer's specs and the open or
shorted circuits should be repaired as per the requirement. The codes which are
present should be cleared up and the entire system should be retested. If there
are no malfunctions in the continuity test, then you should perform a
resistance test on the cruise control on/off switch and buttons by using the
digital volt/ohmmeter. Make sure to leave the cruise control module and PCM
disconnected before testing circuit resistance. The cruise control switches
should be replaced as per the need. All the codes should be cleared up and then
retest the system.
