P0AB1 error code arises due to the failure of the high voltage control module which is also generally known as the hybrid battery pack air temperature sensor "B" circuit. The battery pack air temperature sensor will inform the high voltage control module about the temperature of the ambient air which is available in and around the hybrid battery pack. If an incorrect signal is found from the hybrid battery pack air temperature sensor, the high voltage control module will identify it and the error will be set. Most vehicles have this temperature sensor as a part of the battery pack assembly

The HV battery assembly has the intake air temperature. With the change in values, the value of resistance will change in the intake air temperature. Both the intake air temperature sensor and battery temperature sensor have the same characteristics. In order to adjust the air flow speed of the battery blower assembly, the signal from the intake air temperature sensor is used by the battery ECU.
