Here are some steps which you should follow in order to diagnose this fault code:

• Start by examining all the wires, connectors, and components. Look for damages, corrosion, shorted wires too.
• Now it’s time to connect the scanner to the diagnostic port and retrieve all the codes stores and freeze frame the data. This will help in ruling out if the code is intermittent.

• Now clear the codes and retest the system and see if the P0793 code resets or not.
