Easy Diagnosis Of Engine Error OBD Code P02EC
If you wish to correct any of the error code you will
first need to efficiently diagnose this. While doing so you might commit few
mistakes, to prevent you from doing so we have listed out few steps for you to
keep in mind.
Firstly, you will need to locate and visually inspect
your vehicle’s DIAFCS motor control system. Also, check the connectors and
wirings to it. Make sure there are no scraps, bare wires, burnt spot or melted
plastic. Next, take out the connectors and check carefully for any burns or green
tints that indicate corrosion. Clean the terminals if needed. Next, use a scan
tool to check if the OBD error code P02EC returns. In case it does you will
need to inspect the DIAFSC and all the related circuits for any damage.
Now, take the key off and disconnect the electrical
connectors at the DIAFCS motor/control. Now connect a digital voltmeter black
lead to the ground terminal at the DIAFCS motor/control wiring harness
connector. Now turn the key on and engine off and check for the manufacturer’s
specifications. Make sure that the voltmeter reads 12 volts. In case it does
not, you will have to repair the power or ground wire. You can also replace the
PCM if needed. While installing the PCM make sure it is programmed and
calibrated to the vehicle correctly.
Now, in case all tests pass and you still face the same
code, then you will need to check the manufacturer specifications.
