The P0212 trouble code is set if the engine control module would detect a low or high voltage drop or resistance at the injector 12.

The trouble code P0212 can be defined as injector circuit malfunction – cylinder 12. This fault code means that the engine control module has detected a fault within the cylinder 12 fuel injector circuit. This code would be set when the voltage or resistance is found to be out of range. This fault code is similar to and can be seen in conjunction with P0200-P0211, which are all fuel injector codes.

Here are some steps which you must follow to diagnose the P0212 fault code:

• The modern automotive fuel injectors are actuated via a locking two-wire electrical connector. They are supplied with a constant supply of voltage which is comparable to that of the battery, through a fused power wire. The circuit is completed by the second wire which is grounded by the fuel injector driver in the Pcm (Or Other Suitable Controller) in the form of regulated pulses
