Ride's a bit better
L. BonneuxReviewed in NEWINGTON, ON on June 6, 2024
The original rear springs on the Pontiac Montana had a bad habit of snapping because of rust. I'm pushing 63 and haven't seen this issue before. Maybe it's a new way they're making them? Anyway, these MOOG springs (the site shows a shock or strut, not springs) did make the ride a bit smoother, but I wouldn't say it's worth swapping them out unless you've got a broken one like I did. The true test is going to be whether these can resist rusting out. They're a tad softer than the originals, so they're made longer and compress under the car's weight, which means putting them in is a hassle. You'll likely need a spring compressor.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Rear Springs that impress
Myriam AReviewed in RAWDON, QC on May 3, 2024
I was really pleased with the availability, the price, and the results from Parts Avatar. They turned out to be heavy-duty springs, which is definitely a good thing.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Boosted the ride quality
G. HeinrichsReviewed in BANCROFT, ON on May 2, 2024
The original rear springs on the Pontiac Montana were just waiting to rust through and break, which I hadn't seen before. These MOOG springs (though the website shows something else) did improve the ride a bit, but I'd say don't bother swapping unless you're dealing with a break like I was. Longevity against rust is the real test here. They're softer than the originals, hence a tad longer until the car's weight compresses them, which can make for a tricky install—might need a spring compressor.
Yes, I recommend this product.
These springs delivered as promised

They did exactly what they said they would. They raised the rear of my 2002 Chevrolet Venture by about 5 cm. I have a receiver hitch on this van, and with my kids in the back, it used to drag when leaving parking lots. This solved the problem.
Yes, I recommend this product.
