License Plate Light
About License Plate Light
A license plate light is a small light present on the rear of the vehicle just above the license plate bracket. This illuminates the rear license plate of the vehicle. This is a mandate in most parts of the world. Driving around with a blown up light could get the driver a ticket in may states.
What is the purpose of License Plate Light?
The license plate light illuminates the rear license plate of the vehicle. It is for the law enforcement bodies to track a vehicle during the dark if the vehicle is involved in any unlawful driving conditions.
How License Plate Light Works?
Like a traditional bulb, the license plate bulb uses a filament contained in an inert gas bulb. When electricity passes through this filament, due to the resistance, the filament becomes very hot thus producing light. The light is activated when the headlight switch is turned on.
Where is License Plate Light Located?
The license plate light sits right above the rear license plate bracket.
