How Thermostat Works?
Thermostat is mostly found in engine that are liquid-cooled, The thermostats main aim or job is to restrict the flow of coolant to the radiator until the engine warms up, if the engine is cold the coolant flow will be held until the engine is started and warmed up. The engine should reach an operating temperature of 95 degrees, when this happens the thermostat opens and the coolant flows into the radiator.
Where is Thermostat Located?
Thermostat is located between the engine and the radiator. It is placed under a housing near the water pump on the cylinder head.
