About Front Hub Assembly
Wonder what is the front wheel hub? A wheel hub assembly (WHA) known as hub assembly, wheel hub unit, wheel hub bearing, etc. is the automotive part used in most cars, passenger vehicles and light and heavy trucks.
What is the purpose of Front Hub Assembly?
A wheelbase is the mounting assembly for the wheel of a vehicle which houses both the wheel bearing and the lugs. Some new vehicles also have an electrical sensor and ABS sensor attached to the power connector. The purpose of the wheel hub is to hold the wheel onto the bearing while connecting to the vehicle. The only portion that holds the wheels on the car is the wheel hub, so when installing these parts, it is extremely important to be careful.
Where is Front Hub Assembly Located?
The Wheel Hub assembly is located between the drive axle and the brake drums or discs. It has a wheel bolted on it. The end of the hub comes fitted with the splined teeth, depending on the construction. They mating the teeth on the shaft of the axle. The axle hub spins along with the wheels that are bolted to it and provides the wheels with the power to rotate. A roller bearing between the hub axle and the shaft axle ensures the non-drive wheels are rotated easily. On the side of the axle, it is mounted on the chassis holding bracket; on the side of the disc, the wheel is mounted onto the Wheel Hub Assembly bolts.
