About Exhaust Hardware
Exhaust hardware consists of all the supporting components of an exhaust system. Components like hangers, gaskets, pipe joints and exhaust pipe adapter play a very critical role in exhaust’s proper working and also keeping all the components of exhaust together.
How It Works?
Exhaust hardware does not play a direct role in exhaust system operation, but is very important in keeping the entire exhaust system together and functioning properly. All parts of the exhaust hardware avoid failures such as exhaust gas leakage by supplying gaskets between all joints and ensuring proper fitting between all exhaust system components by joints such as flange or saddle joints as well as highly critical bolts such as spring bolts and manifold / header bolts.
Where does it fit?
The exhaust hardware consists of many part types, ranging from screws, gaskets, joints to the exhaust pipe mounting pads. Each one plays a different role in exhaust work for your vehicle. The most common form of joint found in your exhaust system is a part called exhaust flange join. It is present underneath your car and is used to link pipe from catalytic converter to additional connecting pipes. Likewise, most of the other components are also present under your car but there are few parts near the engine that are exposed to very high heat, such as Exhaust manifold bolts, header gasket and manifold clamps.
