The headlights that turn on when the headlight switch is switched on by default are the low beam headlights. Such lights are also known as dipped lights, as they are angled forward and downward. The low beam headlights are activated by default when the headlight switch is turned on. The low beam headlight relay is powered by activating the low beam lights when the headlight switch is set on through the turn indicator stalk or the stand alone switch. Because of the resistance, when the current passes through the filament within the bulb, the filaments heat up and instead shine. With the help of mirrors and reflectors this light was produced in focused and spread evenly.

The low beam headlights are mounted within the headlight housing on either side of the front of the vehicle.
