Buick Regal Fog Light Assembly
About fog light assembly
Montage of Fog Lights is the light assembly located under a vehicle's headlight assembly and are considered as a major safety feature. The assembly of fog light ensures enhanced road visibility even in situations such as fog, mist, dust or snow. During such conditions, the visibility offered by standard headlight setup is limited, so installing a fog light assembly makes driving under these conditions safer. The fog lights are designed internally differently from the headlights and are mounted on a vehicle's lower front bumper. They are used together with the low beams when visibility is below 100 metres.
What is the purpose of fog light assembly?
The fog lights ensure the road visibility is maintained even under diminished visibility conditions such as fog or heavy downpour. As they are deliberately focused downwards, they have less light throw than headlights. Even so, in impaired visibility conditions, it's enough for the driver to reach the destination safely.
How fog light assembly Works?
The fog lights structure and design are such that the beam is as low as it can be. This allows the beam to illuminate the maximum of the road and prevent the beam from reflecting off the fog which could potentially add to the visibility already impaired. The beam from the fog lights has a very sharp cut off angle so it maximizes the visibility of the road. The fog lights are activated by spinning the switch to the symbol of fog lights. This completes the circuit of fog lights which power them through the main battery of the vehicle.
Where is fog light assembly Located?
The set of fog lights is mounted under the headlight set, on either side of the vehicle in the lower front bumper.
