Solid OEM starter replacement
M ParenteReviewed in WESTVILLE, NS on July 28, 2024
After getting three duds from a major auto parts store, I tried this starter. It's a tad bigger than the original, but that's no issue. My local repair shop vouched for it, and it does spin the engine over much more effectively. It's a great pick if you're looking for a new replacement for that worn-out starter.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Solid Starter from Bosch

This Bosch starter seems well-made and was a breeze to install on my 2000 Buick 3.8L. It cranked the engine way faster than my old, tired starter, firing up the engine immediately. Assembled in the USA, it's reliable as expected.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Reliable starter for my Chevy Impala
John M.Reviewed in MELVILLE, SK on July 22, 2024
Got a starter for my 2000 Chevy Impala because the original was giving me fits, especially when the engine was warm. Local prices for a remanufactured starter were through the roof, starting at $210 CAD! This brand seemed good, and it's been starting smoothly with a nice sound ever since. And it comes with a solid warranty.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Solid upgrade from the original equipment
Kelly BReviewed in HARROW, ON on July 8, 2024
I popped this into a 2005 Buick Lacrosse with a 3.8L engine. Right off the bat, I noticed the Bosch starter was noticeably beefier than the one I took out. Had some worries about it fitting, but it slid in with room to spare. The bigger size is a win because it's concentrated in the motor part, meaning it cranks with more oomph than the factory starter. The original GM starter wasn't holding up – too tiny to be reliable long-term. The car's a 2005 with only about 96,000 kilometers on it, and it's not an everyday driver. I've swapped starters more times than I can count, but I've never seen one go downhill like this one, getting slower and hungrier for power. The OE starter was a lot smaller than any I've replaced before. It's clearly not up to the job, which led to its early exit. The torque from the Bosch starter when turning the engine is night and day. I initially thought the sluggishness was due to a bad battery or alternator, but after checking all three, I'm glad I went with the starter swap.
Yes, I recommend this product.
A solid product through and through

Looks identical to the OE starter I replaced after 100,000 miles but it seems even better with a stronger sound than the original, even when it was new. Excellent build, comes with a great (lifetime) warranty and the price is unbeatable. Don't bother with more expensive rebuilt starters. This one is incredible value.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This starter was exactly as described: 'brand new', and the price was a steal at about 1/3 of the cost you'd find elsewhere. Delivery was super quick, plus it comes with a full warranty and 2 years of roadside service.
Yes, I recommend this product.
