For over 4 decades, Borla Exhaust has been the choice of Mustang experts, from the Cobra-R SVT Mustang to the Ford GT. Major players in the racing industry and leading tuners from Roush, Steeda, Saleen and Ford Racing to the Shelby 427 Cobra have relied on Borla. This awesome Axle-Back system bolts on, is lighter than the factory system, includes our famous ?Touring? mufflers with outstanding flow numbers that generate great power enhancements, and features bright chrome on T-304 stainless steel tips. These attributes, coupled with an aggressive sound of power and awesome big tip, proclaim this Stang is all business. Airflow management and exhaust engineering is a science with which Borla has more experience than anyone in the exhaust aftermarket. The performance matches the famous Borla systems of the past but with a unique muffler and exhaust configuration canceling additional high frequency sound waves. Delivering a significant increase in CFM from the factory system which, as most engine builders will confirm, accounts for the dramatic power improvements. Perhaps more importantly, this added flow maximizes performance for other aftermarket enhancements installed on the Mustang because all Borla exhaust products are tuned for maximum output from any aftermarket performance upgrade. Two Axle-Back options are also available: an aggressive ?S-Type? (PN 11750) and a more mellow Touring (PN 11752) ? both replace only the over-the-axle pipes, mufflers and tips. Borla Axle-Back Exhaust system with Bright tip finish is built with a patented straight-through and multi-core technology to release hidden horsepower and generate a forceful sound and higher flow. The exhaust system has a unique, powerful sound that every motoring enthusiast trusts as it improves exhaust velocity and adds more power. It also offers additional excitement while driving and helps in saving fuel. Premium 300-Series austenitic stainless steel superior to T-400 series knockoffs (such as 409) is used to give the most satisfactory performance and durability. It also features an ultra-smooth mandrel bend with maximum exhaust flow and power. Most vehicles come with a factory service point in the exhaust system (flange or slip-fit) installed in the exhaust tubing behind the rear axle. Vehicles with no factory service point require cutting. Borla’s axle-back installations barely take less than an hour to finish without cutting the factory system, and it comes with easy-to-follow instructions to complete the installation. Borla Axle-Back Exhaust system with bright tip finish uses Aircraft-grade 304 stainless steel tubing, a material with a higher content of carbon and nickel to resist rust or corrosion, for the automotive exhaust aftermarket. It is precisely engineered with a computer-controlled CNC to provide a perfect fit. The axle-back exhaust system features multicore technology providing long-lasting durability.
