Air Conditioning Compressor

The power unit of the air-conditioning system is the compressor that puts the refrigerant under high pressure before it moves into the condenser, where it gets converted from gas to a liquid. If you want the air-conditioning system to provide peak performance, then a properly functioning compressor is essential. The A/C compressor is driven by an engine-accessory belt in most cars. The compressor will not function at full strength if the belt slips or is worn out. The refrigerant may also leak from the compressor, which might result in less air from entering into the interior. Cold air also will not enter the system leading to the failure of internal parts. AC problems do not occur due to low refrigerant. It is also caused due to issues with system parts, like compressor, etc.

The air conditioning system workhorse is the compressor driven by a drive belt that is fastened to the engine's crankshaft. When the AC system is turned on, the compressor must pump the refrigerant vapor into the condenser under high pressure. The condenser converts the high-pressure vapor of the refrigerant to liquid and passes to the dryer of the receiver. If a liquid leaks into the refrigerant, it is removed. The pressurized refrigerant must flow to the expansion valve from the receiver-dryer. It also releases pressure from the fluid refrigerant. Once pushed into the evaporator, the cold low-pressure refrigerant vaporizes and removes heat from the surface, and the cold air is circulated when the blower fan moves air over the evaporator's outside. The compressor will draw in low-pressure refrigerant vapor to begin another refrigeration process. The cooling process will run continuously and will be controlled by setting the expansion valve. Though the method is clear, the same principle applies to every AC system.
