A radiator is the key component of the engine's cooling system. Its main role is to disperse a mix of antifreeze and water throughout its fins, which releases some of the engine's heat while taking in cool air before continuing to pass the rest of the engine.

Should i use new engine coolant in my new radiator or can i use the old coolant i drain from my old radiator assembly?

It is highly recommmended to refill your new radiator with brand new engine coolant as the old coolant may have debris or may simply be worn out and be not able to provide the lubrication and the heat dissipation required for your vehicle.

Should i flush my new radiator before installation ?

With a brand new radiator, you dont necessarily need to flush it as the inlet and outlet both are covered after production. However some prefer to flush there new rad with distilled water.

The Radiator consist of the following components, Radiator Core ,Pressure Cap and generally two internal tnaks , in which the inlet tank helps the hot liquid flow from the engine to the radiator. After the fans cool it, the liquid goes through the outlet tank and back to the engine, where the process starts over and the liquid recirculates.

In general, flush and fill your radiator every five years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
