Signs of a bad driveshaft?

A common symptom of a failing driveshaft is intense shaking coming from underneath the vehicle.
You will also have difficulty turning the steering wheel. You may hear a clunking sound coming from the front end. The vehicle may shudder on acceleration.

Should drive shafts be replaced in pairs?

Some driveshafts have a double-cardan joint at the front, which contains two u-joints. So there are three U-joints to replace. It's best to replace them all at once.
