Toyota FJ Cruiser Front Brake Pad
About front brake pad
Brake pads are an essential part of your automobile’s brake system; they sit between your brake shoe (the part that clamps down, slowing the tires' rotation) and your brake drum. In the absence of working brake pads, other elements of your vehicle, such as the discs, rotors, and callipers would start to wear away.
What is the purpose of front brake pad?
The main function of a brake pad is to slow or stop the motion of a machine or vehicle (car, truck, train, motorcycle, etc). When the brakes would be hydraulically applied, then the caliper would squeeze the two pads together onto the spinning disc to slow or stop the vehicle or machine.
How front brake pad works?
Brake pads would provide friction to slow or stop your vehicle. The pressure and friction which would be applied to the brake rotor is what slows and stops the wheel. Once the wheels would stop turning, then the vehicle would stop moving too.
