Top-tier wheel bearings for the ISF

The best thing you could buy for your Lexus ISF, hands down.

This bearing sorted out the noise issue at any speed, installation was a snap!

Slapped this bad boy onto my '06 IS 350. The old bearing was a pain to get off until I got a slide hammer – a couple of whacks and it popped right out. The new one went in super easy. It got rid of that annoying hmm..hmm..hmm noise. If you're trying to figure out which side's bad, try turning. Noise fades or gets quieter while turning left? It's the left bearing, and vice versa. This part is legit OEM, matching markings and all, straight from Japan. My ride had about 273-275k kilometers on it when I swapped in this bearing, but I probably should've done it between 257-265k kilometers when I first noticed the issue. I sat on the part for a bit since I was new to this and didn't want to get stuck mid-job. But let me tell ya, if you can change your brake pads, you can do this. Just get a slide hammer and don't be like me, trying to muscle it out for a day. Also, I did my rear pads and rotors while I was at it – it's smart to double-dip on the work. If you need a guide, check out ClubLexus in the IS Forum, I'm dropping a DIY there. Lexus quoted me 1,120 CAD for this job, a solid local mechanic wanted 840 CAD, but doing it yourself? Roughly 210 CAD... save that money for something nice!

This one will hush the hum

Put this on my '06 IS 350. The old one was stubborn until I got a slide hammer – a couple of whacks and it popped right out. The new one was a cinch to install. It silenced the humming noise that wouldn't quit. If it's really bad, you'll hear it at any speed, but it was loud and clear on the highway. Here's a tip to figure out which side's the culprit: if the noise drops or gets quieter when you turn left, it's likely the left side bearing, and vice versa for the right. You might notice the noise amps up turning one way and nearly disappears turning the other. This part's definitely OEM – matched it up with the old one, and they're both stamped 'Made in Japan'. My car had about 274,000 kilometers on it when I did the swap. Probably should've done it between 257,000-265,000 kilometers when I first noticed. Had the part for a while, but didn't want to get stuck mid-repair since it was my first time. For the record, if you can change your brake pads and rotors, you can do this too. Just rent a slide hammer, and don't do what I did, trying to pound and pull and blast it for a whole day... grab the slide hammer. Also took the chance to replace my rear pads and rotors – you've got to remove the rotor anyway, so might as well get both jobs done. Check out ClubLexus for a DIY guide; I'll have one up in the IS Forum tonight. Lexus quoted me 1,120 CAD for the job, a local mechanic I trust was 840 CAD. This part's about 210 CAD... go ahead and treat yourself with the savings.

Should've bought these first for my rear hubs
OuimetReviewed in RAWDON, QC on January 18, 2024

I initially bought Febest rear hubs. They fitted well, but caused traction control issues at high speeds. The Timken hubs solved my traction control problems and they sound perfect. I regret not buying these first; it would've saved me at least 6 hours of work on the inferior hubs.
Yes, I recommend this product.
I wish I'd bought these instead of Febest for my rear hubs.
JAMESReviewed in PICTON, ON on January 15, 2024
At first, I went with Febest rear hubs, which fit fine but led to traction control issues at high speeds. Switching to the Timkens solved the problem, and they sound perfect. I regret not choosing these first, as I wasted at least 6 hours redoing the work on the inferior hubs.
Yes, I recommend this product.
