Gas tank arrived bent

The gas tank arrived as ordered, but the packaging was damaged, resulting in some bent corners. I'm going to install it regardless and hope it doesn't leak; if it's leak-free, I'll be happy, but if it leaks, I'll need a replacement. It seems well-made but the packaging could be improved.

The first tank got dinged up in shipping, but the tank itself is worth the money if it arrives in good shape. Had to do some tweaking to install it since the hose connections were flipped and the tank was a bit bigger than the original, making the rock shield and straps a mismatch.

I haven't installed it yet, but it looks to be a quality product at half the price of others I've seen. My only complaint is the poor packaging, as there was no padding, resulting in bent corners and a hole in the box where the fill tube connects. The fill tube connection was also slightly bent.

Put this into a 1978 F 350. It was a close fit but not exact. Took me over three hours to install solo. The old tank was way easier, just 45 min to reinstall after trying to patch it.

Had to return the first tank because it got damaged during shipping. The tank itself is good and worth the money, if it arrives in usable condition. I had to do a bit of metalwork to get it installed though. The hose connections were flipped and the tank was larger than the original, so the rock shield wouldn't fit back on, and the straps were too short.

With my physical limitations (not complaining, just saying), it took me two whole days and some help to wiggle this snug piece into place without a hitch. Got a great deal and I'm happy with the product, but I'm beat. If you're not too experienced, or have limitations like I do, you might want to let a pro handle it. Makes life easier in the long run.
