- Installation of a distinct inner ring for the inboard ball row increases dynamic load-bearing capacity
- Each inner ring has an interference fit, while the outer ring flange is fastened to the suspension
- Both brake and wheel are mounted on the spinning inner ring, which has a robust flange, spigot, and threaded holes or studs
- Wheel speed sensor is included in units for automobiles with ABS, Traction Control, and/or Stability Control systems
- Sensor are found between bearing rows, on the inboard flange or on the outboard flange
