      I struggled to fit this into my '73 L-82 forged crank, using a RAM steel clutch alignment tool. The inner diameter got smaller the deeper I went, binding on the shaft. Ended up cutting this one out and grabbing a different brand locally, which fit a bit easier without the shrinking issue. It seems like a decent product otherwise; maybe it was just my crank that had issues.

                  This bearing fits the input shaft alright, but installation was another story. Like others, I had to hone it out to get a proper fit. Luckily, I was swapping the input shaft, so I made sure it matched the bearing before putting it in—would've been a nightmare otherwise!

                          You'll need a bearing press tool for installation. Don't even think about using a hammer and a socket like some backyard mechanic. It's a very good bronze bearing and will get messed up if you beat on it.

                              Had a nightmare with a steel pilot bearing from a transmission kit. After doing my homework, I ordered a RAM Pilot Bushing—a solid brass, non-ferrous one. I had to fine-tune the outer diameter using a low-speed motor and an abrasive belt. Managed to install the bushing smoothly without any damage. Hats off to Justin's review from 8 years ago about freezing the bushing before installation—wish I'd tried that first.
