Pontiac G5 Front Brake Pad
About front brake pad
Brake pads are the most important part of the brake system in your car which rest between the brake shoe (the part that clamps down, slowing down the movement of your tires) and your brake drum. Other elements of your car, such as the wheels, rotors, and calipers will start to wear away in the absence of working brake pads.
What is the purpose of front brake pad?
A brake pad main purpose is to slow or stop a machine or vehicle (car, truck, train, motorcycle, etc.) from moving. Unless the brakes were applied hydraulically, the caliper would then squeeze the two pads onto the rotating disc together to slow or stop the vehicle or computer.
How front brake pad works?
Brake pads will add traction to slow down the vehicle or stop it. The pressure and friction that will be applied to the brake rotor is what slows the wheel down and stops it. If the wheels stopped spinning, the vehicle will also cease moving.
